Making a Call with Phone Anxiety: a zine by Abby Haywood.
Here’s 16-year-old artist Abby's description of her work:
The whole concept came from a phone call I had to make last summer. I needed to call my local driver’s ed program to schedule my drivers test, pretty simple, right?
A quick call that should’ve taken maybe fifteen minutes ended up consuming my entire afternoon. I wanted to make this zine to spread awareness about phone anxiety and to make those suffering with it feel less alone.
$12 Bundle - 1 Physical copy of the 4-page zine, 1 super cute waterproof sticker, and one lavender and flax seed filled softie
Sticker is 2” the perfect size for phones, water bottles, laptops, whatever!
Softie is about 3.5 x 4” with a design printed on from four linoleum blocks on cotton fabric, red hair ties are embroidered on. It’s great for fidgeting with during calls, the lavender inside smells nice and can help relieve anxiety. The flax seed allows it to stay warm for a little while after being popped in the microwave for ~30 seconds. NOTE: Do not microwave softie for longer than 30 seconds at a time!
