This design was drawn, carved and printed by Abby Haywood, daughter of the CraftSanity founder, in our West Michigan studio. We each happily stitched samples before offering the design here for sale. (Abby's is the shaded yellow one, her mother's is still a work in progress.)
The design fits into a 6" embroidery hoop (you'll need to reposition your hoop once to embroider the legs and feet) and is printed on unbleached, cotton tea towel fabric that lends a nice texture to the finished work. Please note that this sampler does not come with thread or a needle and is intended to be open-ended. Simply thread your needle and follow the printed design or not. You're the boss of your embroidery. You can bust out with fancy stitches, fill it in completely, or simply follow the lines with backstitch or running stitch if you're so inclined.
These samplers are great travel crafts to bring on vacation and also make great gifts for crafty friends and kids.
